G for Genevieve

A wise woman once gave me a great bit of advice: “on days when you feel your worst, look your best.” And so, even on my hardest days, I’ve made a point out of leaving the house looking like piece of art. By way of that commitment, I’ve developed an eclectic collection of patterns, colors, and textures. I’ve became my own canvas. Throughout adolescence I tried to define myself through established styles: my self-proclaimed “boho-chic” phase, my angsty, “everything must be three sizes too big” stage, and my foray into Western aesthetics (I still love a solid cowboy boot). Now I believe my style is uniquely me. I find trends that I like — on television, in magazines, on social media — and I find ways to make them my own. That is what I want to help other people do.

From the time I could walk my mom had me watching Project Runway and What Not To Wear. I’ve learned to make my own clothes and have developed costumes for various productions. My experiences as a photographer and an actor have taught me the importance of understanding how clothes look and feel. But what I’ve discovered is that styling is mostly about knowing people, and more importantly, helping them know themselves.

What makes you feel good? What makes you feel confident? Looking good and feeling good go hand-in-hand. I’m not looking to tell you what you can and cannot wear. You can wear anything you want! My goal is to help you bring to life the vision you have of yourself, so that the world can see it in all its glory.
